The Purple Smokey Eye

For this tutorial, you will need:

  • Eyeshadow: vibrant purple
  • Eyeshadow: deeper shade of purple
  • Eyeshadow: black
  • Eyeshadow: brown-red
  • Eyeshadow: cream
  • Eyeliner: black gel liner
  • Eyeliner: dark brown pencil liner
  • Flat lid brush
  • Crease brush
  • Blending brush
  • Eyeliner brush
  • Black mascara

1. Start with priming you bare lids to prevent creasing. The color of your eyeshadow will come out truer and last longer with priming.
2. Using the flat lid brush, apply the vibrant purple shade all over your lid up to your crease.

3. Using the crease brush, apply a deeper shade of purple from the corner of your eye to the middle of your crease and blend it out with a fluffy blending brush.
4. Next use the same crease brush to apply the black shadow at the corner of your lid slightly blending up to your crease to give your eyes depth.

5. To soften the shades use a transitioning brown-red shadow in the crease closer to the brow bone with a blending brush.

6. Using the same brush, blend the transitioning color to your brown bone.

7. Using the eyeliner brush, line your top lid with a black gel liner winging it up and out.

7. Line your lower waterline with a dark brown
9. Using the eyeliner brush, line your top lid with a black gel liner winging it up and out.
10. Top the look off with two coats of black mascara on your upper and lower lashes and there you have it! The perfect purple smoky for the night out.
